Bead Contact Pressure Testing Machine (BCM)

Reliable and safe mounting of a tire to a rim is a fundamental requirement in fully automated tire and wheel assembly lines as well as in car workshops globally. For safety reasons a damage of the bead must be avoided strictly in the mounting process as well as air loss of the mounted tire. In addition, a proper bead seat on the wheel is important to avoid disturbing behavior like additional vibrations due to tire uniformity issues. For the measurement of the bead contact force inmess provides the Bead Contact Pressure Testing Machine (BCM), which is able to determine the force behavior of the tire in accordance with global standards (ETRTO, WDK) as well as customer-specific procedures.
The inmess BCM is equipped with 8 segments simulating the bead seat area of a rim. According to customer demands different bead seat angles can be delivered.
